Yea shift, this would be a great opportunity for your movement to go toe-to-toe with the oligarchs.

you should spread this everywhere in the anarchist circles.

unfortunately, hack, there is a language barrier between myself and my greek comrades that is often difficult to overcome (hell, i have a hard enough time communicating with Spanish speakers, a language i know at least a little bit of).

i hope there is an anarchist mobilization, and would expect there to be, seeing as they are the most active force of resistance in greek society. hopefully labor will come out in force too, because they are very militant there, and are hopefully aware of the bilderbergs and the shit those slimy illuminaughty new world odor motherfuckers are up to behind those doors.

that said, after the December uprising, the greek state is making a concerted attempt to get even more militarized than before, and this will be a good opportunity to put that to use. but greeks love fighting cops in the streets, so it should be a good time for all.

i don’t know where Vouliagmeni is and if it’s isolated enough that might make a dent in any resistance just because most people in the large cities are too poor to leave and can’t just charter a jet like alex and daniel can. i’ll look at a map or google earth that shit…

okay it’s way down south no where near athens and even further from thessaloniki. these are the major hubs of anarchist resistance. but we are everywhere, and vouliagmeni does seem to be in an urban(ish) area, but google earth reveals that the hotel is way down on this thin strip of peninsula. very strategic on their part. we’ll see if the resistance can get there. google earth “Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel, Vouliagmeni, Greece”

When I was in Greece a few years ago I had no problem communicating because lots of people spoke English.

It’s less than 12 miles from Athens.

heh i guess i was just zoomed way in on google earth at the time and thought the distance was greater than it really is. right you are. i was wondering why thessaloniki was so damn far away. didn’t think greece was so big (it isn’t, google earth was just fucking with my mind on the scale of things).

that’s good, but the way the resort is out on that thin strip of peninsula worries me. that will be a hindrance.

The peninsula narrows down to a single road on the way there. I would think most attendees would fly into Athens and travel down this road to get to the meeting.

I am reminded of a very relevant quote from ShiftShapers.

not the aliens but the anarchists.

It would be nice to see them confront the global elite on their own ground and not at a protest where they start a riot.

Actually I never thought of that until now. I don’t think I have ever seen the anarchists do anything…other than show up to massive protests and start riots.

You think I would have noticed by now, but the only time I see the black masks are on cops and anarchists.

like what?

well for one, we have the 8 hour work day because of the anarchist labor movement like the iww.

but like i said, there are countless examples of anarchism in action, you just don’t see them because you only see rioters as anarchists. the ones that blend in with “regular” people and accomplish many amazing things are not given the sensationalized credit as “anarchists” because the media wants to focus on the breaking of windows, not the redistribution of resources to the poor or the growing of community gardens.

Food Not Bombs is an excellent example of real-world anarchism in action, as are Really Really Free Markets, Infoshops & Radical Community Centers, Free Stores, and the like.

9-11 truth made mainstream the concept of false flag terror as a weapon to manipulate the masses. Whether people believe it or not the concept was introduced into the group mind making that tactic harder to use.

The second part of your question is loaded for the purpose of debating enlightenment principles I ascribe to that you do not.

The social contract, constitutional republic, self determination.

You would say these are just continuation of corrupt systems.

I find it amusing however that you tout the 8 hour work day as an accomplishment of your movement while tossing out the bill of rights as an accomplishment of mine.

I think the bill of rights was an advancement at least on the order of the 8 hour work day.

Their protest of the 2008 Bilderberg Group meeting was pretty good.

what did that accomplish?

9-11 truth made mainstream the concept of false flag terror as a weapon to manipulate the masses. Whether people believe i or not the concept was introduced into the group mind.

false flags were always pretty well documented and the nutters that have infested the 911 Truth “movement” have served to discredit those doing true and legitimate research while at the same time actually rendering the public’s perception of false flag terror FURTHER into the realm of dismissible conspiracy theory and FARTHER AWAY FROM the factual reality that it was prior.

The social contract,

you believe in the social contract? heh. then i assume you realize you cannot be BORN INTO ONE and that ALL legitimate social contract require TRUE CONSENT from ALL PARTIES involved.

constitutional republic,

please define

self determination.

of course i “believe” in that. what the fuck do you think anarchism is all about? smashy smashy?

You would say these are just continuation of corrupt systems.

no, i would say the first doesn’t exist in most cases, the second i would agree is a corrupt and illegitimate system, and the latter i fully support, depending how you understand it. i believe in self-determination for all, not just for a few and the expense of the self-determination of the many. what you believe in is the privilege of self-determination for yourself and those you identify as your people, which has always come at the cost of the self-determination of others, including non-humans.

you tout the 8 hour work day as an accomplishment of your movement while tossing out the bill of rights as an accomplishment of mine.

yeah but the fact that you think “your movement” is in any way connected to those racist fucking piece of shit “Founding Fathers” is even funnier!

I think the bill of rights was an advancement at least on the order of the 8 hour work day.

yeah, they were both a small step forwards. the problem is when people canonize them and think they’re so great we should not move beyond them and leave them behind us.

typical.

looks like the the re-writing of American history by the ford foundation has worked well on you.

you should read the antifederalist papers you might be surprised to find out about the attitudes of many of the founders on slavery.

but that doesn’t fit neatly into your worldview does it?

R387036

ShiftShapers

now i’m not saying they were all racist fucks. c’mon now!

but if you think the vast majority of the most influential ones weren’t, you’re kidding yourself.

regardless, the modern “patriot” and/or “liberty” (so-called) “movements” are inventions of the modern libertarian right and have absolutely nothing to do with the movement of “american” elites who wanted to separate themselves form their colonial masters and found a new nation for purely elite economic interests.

regardless of their opposition to or advocacy of slavery, it had shit to do with their reasons for founding this country or even for the later “civil war.” it was about elite interests. always has been, always will be. and that is the ONLY common thread you have with them. you are ultimately defending elite interests.

by “you” i do not mean you personally but rather the “movements” that so vehemently oppose capital gains taxes while obviously not giving a fuck about the taxes that more heavily affect the working class.

R387037

ShiftShapers

and if you’ve read that history, Hack, then you know how many of the founders also felt about democracy, by which i mean the true rule of the people. they were not for it.

many of them expressed genuine doubts and even fears about the inability of ‘The People’ to govern themselves, regarding radically consensus participatory democracy as dangerous, preferring instead the representative system of pseudo-democracy, allowing elite interests to maintain ultimate control.

Aspirations towards empire were obviously present in the hearts and minds of the ‘Founding Fathers,’ as James Madison blatantly stated, “We are laying the foundation of a great empire.”

Leaked 1955 Bilderberg Docs Outline Plan For Single European Currency

Global elite spoke of agenda to create Euro nearly 40 years before it was first codified in the 1992 Maastricht Treaty

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
May 8, 2009

Leaked documents from the 1955 Bilderberg Group conference held in Germany discuss the agenda to create a European Union and a single EU currency, decades before they were introduced, disproving once again debunkers who claim that Bilderberg has no influence over world events.

Leaked papers from the meeting which took place from September 23-25 1955 at the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, West Germany, were released by the Wikileaks website yesterday.

The full document can be read here (the password is ‘dynbase’).

As we first reported in 2003, a BBC investigative team were allowed to access Bilderberg files which confirmed that the EU and the Euro were the brainchild of Bilderberg. They were probably reading from the same documents that were released by Wikileaks.

It was only last month that Belgian viscount and current Bilderberg-chairman Étienne Davignon bragged that Bilderberg helped create the Euro by first introducing the policy agenda for a single currency in the early 1990’s.

However, the documents show that the agenda to create a European common market and a single currency go back decades earlier.

The summary report of the 1955 meeting talks of the “Pressing need to bring the German people, together with the other peoples of Europe, into a common market.”

The document also outlines the plan, “To arrive in the shortest possible time at the highest degree of integration, beginning with a common European market.”

Just two years later, in 1957, the first incarnation of the European Economic Community (EEC) was born, which comprised of a single market between Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The EEC gradually enlarged over the next few decades until it became the European Community, one of the three pillars of the European Union, which was officially created in 1993.

The 1955 Bilderberg summary outlines a consensus that, “It might be better to proceed through the development of a common market by treaty rather than by the creation of new high authorities.” The EEC was duly created via the Treaty of Rome, which was signed on 25 March 1957.

The same process is still being followed to this day with the Lisbon Treaty, which hands over vast swathes of national sovereignty to the EU by means of the consent of Presidents and Prime Ministers of European countries, rather than by the arbitrary creation of new authorities, a method that would more obviously lay bare the fact that the creation of a federal EU superstate is totalitarian by its very nature.

Even so, debunkers will probably still try and claim that the idea of a common European market was floating around in the early 1950’s and that Bilderberg were merely debating contemporary political ideas.

However, the same cannot be said for the single European currency, which wasn’t even introduced in the form of notes and coins until January 2002, having been first codified in the 1992 Maastricht Treaty. The documents prove that Bilderberg members were pushing for its introduction nearly 40 years earlier.

“A European speaker expressed concern about the need to achieve a common currency, and indicated that in his view this necessarily implied the creation of a central political authority,” states the summary document.

True to form, the single European currency, the Euro, was not introduced until after the creation of a central political authority – the EU itself.

The document also stresses, “The necessity to bring the German people into a common European market as quickly as possible,” adding that the future was in danger without a “United Europe.”

We also learn that, “A United States participant confirmed that the United States had not weakened in its enthusiastic support for the idea of integration, although there was considerable diffidence in America as to how this enthusiasm should be manifested. Another United States participant urged his European friends to go ahead with the unification of Europe with less emphasis on ideological considerations and, above all, to be practical and work fast.”

Despite the plethora of manifestly provable examples of where Bilderberg’s agenda has later played out in actual policies and geopolitical developments on the world stage, establishment media debunkers still scoff and sneer at independent researchers who dare claim that 150 of the world’s most influential powerbrokers meeting in secret to discuss the future of the planet might equate to something more than an informal talking shop, calling such assertions “conspiracy theories.”

Indeed, the sheer stupidity of debunkers to suggest that an event that attracts the titans of government, industry, banking, business and academia, at which the most pressing global issues of the day are vigorously discussed under the cloak of a mutually agreed media blackout, has no bearing on future world events, is the most laughable “conspiracy theory” ever uttered.

Bilderberg’s 2009 agenda has already been leaked before their May 14-17 meeting in Vouliagmeni, Greece. According to investigative journalist Daniel Estulin, one of Bilderberg’s aims is to smear anti-Lisbon Treaty activists and politicians by planting derogatory stories in the media, enabling them to silence opposition to an EU federal superstate that Bilderberg has been carefully cultivating since their very first meetings in the 1950’s – a fact, not a conspiracy theory, proven by Bilderberg’s own internal documents.

Bilderbergers Plan Secret Meeting in Greece

Source says top agenda item is reconstructing world economy

World Net Daily
May 07, 2009

The 57th meeting of representatives from Western European and North American countries known as Bilderberg Group will be held next week at a five-star hotel in Greece, reports Daniel Estulin, an investigative author who has written a defining book on the secretive annual gathering.

Estulin says his sources in Greece have confirmed the meeting will be held at the Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni from May 14-17.

The Bilderberg Group is an elite invitation-only conference of influential members of the business, media and political community. Past attendees have included Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Tony Blair.

While the group claims its purpose is to facilitate discussion amongst western powers, many see the group as a means toward globalization.

This year, according to Estulin’s sources, the meeting’s talking points will focus on finances, namely the future of the U.S. dollar, the economy and unemployment levels.

Estulin also claims in a statement to have obtained a pre-meeting booklet sent out to attendees that presents a discussion of two economic options: “Either a prolonged, agonizing depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline and poverty … or an intense-but-shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency.”

As WND reported, The Bilderberg Group meets at luxury hotels and resorts throughout the world. Last year’s conference was held at the Westfields Marriott
in Chantilly, Va. Every four years the conference is held in the U.S. or Canada. The group has an office located in Leiden, South Holland, Netherlands.

The highly secretive meeting is off limits to press, but past reports from sources that have managed to penetrate the high-security meetings have stated that the meetings emphasize a globalist agenda and dismiss national sovereignty as regressive.

The BBC declared it to be one of the most influential organizations in the world.

“It’s officially described as a private gathering,” BBC reported, “but with a guest list including the heads of European and American corporations, political leaders and a few intellectuals, it’s one of the most influential organizations on the planet.”

Attendees of the Bilderberg conference are not allowed to speak a word of what was discussed in the meeting outside of the group. The group has no website and no minutes are kept of the meetings to ensure secrecy.

Last year, however, the Bilderberg Group made a press release available listing topics of discussion and providing a general overview of the gathering.

“Approximately 140 participants will attend, of whom about two-thirds come from Europe and the balance from North America,” the release stated. “About one-third is from government and politics, and two-thirds are from finance, industry, labor, education and communications. The meeting is private in order to encourage frank and open discussion.”

This year’s event, if held as expected, will be the 57th gathering of the Bilderberg Group, which began meeting in 1954. A scheduled meeting in 1976 was cancelled, but if added to the tally, leads some to count this year’s gathering as the 58th.

Writer Detained For Taking Photo Of Sea View Near Bilderberg Hotel

Comedian writing for London Guardian contacts Infowars

Steve Watson
Infowars.net
May 14, 2009

The comedian covering the Bilderberg meeting for the London Guardian has been detained by authorities in Athens, Greece after taking a photograph close to the site of the annual elite gathering.

Charlie Skelton has also personally contacted the Infowars team to clarify his position and explain why he is approaching the issue from a comic angle.

In Skelton’s third article in today’s Guardian, he details an encounter with armed Greek police close to the Astir Palace resort near Athens, during which he was menaced, asked to identify himself and was and eventually detained after photographing the sea view.

Again the approach Skelton takes is a comical one, however, he maintains that his detainment was very serious:

Over came the man with the machine gun. Over came the man with the special mirror-on-a-stick for car bombs. It was the first time in my life, and hopefully the last, that I’ve been intimidated by a mirror on a stick. They circled round me. One of them, the one in the photo with one hand up and the other on his pistol, kept prodding me in the shoulder, and shouting “Give the camera! Just give the camera!” All around me: “Delete! Delete photos!” followed by a lame tug of war for the camera with no great self-belief on either side, which I won.

Then it became: “Get in the car!” Get in the car!” I wasn’t about to get in the car. I remember saying: “One of you has a machine gun, you’re shouting at me, I don’t understand why, I took one photograph, this all seems a bit strange. What’s going on here?”

Skelton says he was then taken to the police station and asked to delete his photo, which he refused to do. Eventually the police allowed him to leave.

We covered Mr Skelton’s dispatches in our article yesterday, pointing out that the Guardian’s intention seemed to be to belittle the importance of the meeting by creating a comedy out of it.

However, Mr Skelton has since contacted us to explain that he is a fan of Infowars and that this is the only way he could draw any attention to Bilderberg in the mainstream media.

Indeed, his latest piece seems to play up the fact that the mainstream media should be covering the event but, as ever, is nowhere to be seen, as this extract demonstrates:

And then it struck me: there really ISN’T any fotografia. There’s none. Not a single member of the mainstream press. Not a single newshound camera on a tripod. Nothing. Nothing is happening here. Nothing to report.

The limousines have started to arrive. Nothing to report.

They’ve closed off an entire peninsula. There are roadblocks. Machine guns. Nothing to report.

This is Bilderberg’s 57th annual meeting. Nothing to report.

Susan Boyle plucks eyebrows! Finally, something to report.

Mr. Skelton has agreed to appear on the Alex Jones show today to further clarify his opinions and discuss his detainment at the hands of Bilderberg.

Are the People Who ‘Really Run the World’ Meeting this Weekend?

The Bilderberg group, the topic of many conspiracy theories, is now meeting behind closed doors in Greece.

Adam Abrams
Haaretz
May 14, 2009

From today until May 17, approximately 150 of the most influential members of the world’s elite will be meeting behind closed doors at a hotel in Greece. They are called the Bilderberg Group or the “Bilderbergers,” and you have probably never heard of them.

The group, co-founded by Prince Bernard of the Netherlands, has been meeting in secret every year since 1954. This year, says the British broadsheet The Times, they are meeting at the Nafsika Astir Palace in Vouliagmeni.

The individuals at the meeting come from such power houses as Google and the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Senate and European royalty. Governments, the banking industry, big oil, media and even the world of academia are amongst the Bilderberg ranks.

Those reportedly in attendance at last year’s conference in Virginia include former U.S. senator Tom Daschle; Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner and his predecessor Henry M. Paulson; former U.S. secretaries of state Henry Kissinger and Condoleezza Rice; Microsoft executive Craig Mundie; senior Wall Street Journal editor Paul Gigot; World Bank President Robert Zoellick and Google CEO Eric Schmidt.

There is no official list of who’s who in Bilderberg and there are no press conferences about the meetings. This is because the group operates under the Chatham House Rule, and no details of what goes on inside are released to the press.

This secrecy has led to many claims that the Bilderberg Group are the world’s real “kingmakers,” and, some even suggest, behind the global financial crisis.

There are also rumors concerning Bilderberg’s 2008 conference in Virginia, claiming that the recent U.S. presidential election was decided upon in a secret meeting between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, courtesy of Bilderberg.

Those involved in Bilderberg reject such claims outright, arguing that the forum offers a chance for world leaders to discuss international affairs openly and honestly.

Former British cabinet minister, Lord Denis Healey, who was one of the founders of the group, branded assumptions of world domination as “crap!” and said that the group’s aims were much purer.

In an interview to journalist Jon Ronson of the Guardian, Healey said: “Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing.”

Veteran Bilderberg-watcher Daniel Estulin says that the big topic on the agenda for this year is the global depression.

Estulin quotes sources connected to the group as saying that the group is looking at two options, “either a prolonged, agonizing depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline, and poverty… or an intense-but-shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency.”

As the BBC’s Jonathan Duffy noted in 2004, the air of mystery has fueled the increasingly popular conspiracy theory that the Bilderberg meetings are where decisions affecting the entire world are made.

“No reporters are invited in and while confidential minutes of meetings are taken, names are not noted,” Duffy wrote. “In the void created by such aloofness, an extraordinary conspiracy theory has grown up around the group that alleges the fate of the world is largely decided by Bilderberg.”

Recently, mainstream press coverage of the Bilderberg meeting has grown, largely due to the internet. This year’s conference may have been covered by British broadsheets, but don’t expect to see any coverage from U.S. news outlets such as The Wall Street Journal or the Washington Post – they will most likely be at the conference.

i’m not saying i’m for a global currency, but can you please explain to me what’s so bad about it?

it just seems to me to be an extension of currency/fixed capital, which in my opinion, is the part of the problem to begin with.

don’t get me wrong, i know how the loss of the dollar’s hegemony and status as the petro-dollar will fuck America over even more, but that’s not really my concern.

as i see it, our problem is that people can hoard more wealth/resources than they need. fixed capital and currency are fundamental to this system. so i oppose all forms of fixed currency.

but aside from screwing america over on the dollar thing, what’s so bad about the Euro, the “Amero” (in the works), extensions of the Euro, and even global currency?

please, floyd, enlighten me. how will that be any worse?

R387167

i guess the greater the centralization, the worse it is.

but like currency, i oppose both nationalism and globalism. they are two sides of the same “coin,” so to speak.

sure i prefer as much decentralization as possible, but nationalism and national currencies are still way too big and centralized for me.

but yeah, greater centralization would only lead to greater inequality and disparities of wealth and power.

guess i kinda answered my own question, from my own perspective at least.

still interested in what you think, floyd.

Well from my perspective, currency, like so much else, is being consolidated and centralized right now, with the intention seemingly to be an extreme centralization of control and power governed by an unelected global dictatorial body over as many aspects of human life as they can achieve. Fewer choices, fewer rights, fewer currencies, fewer constitutions, fewer sovereign nations.

I personally don’t care too much for that kind of a living situation.

I want decentralization and independence and sustainability, but my problem with you and your images of molotovs is that you act so hardcore and opposed to everything including nations, borders, elected representatives, and civilization, but your apparent strategy to change all this is to promote riots and breaking things and making fun of Alex Jones and Ron Paul and it feels like you’ll just keep going in circles posting images of anarchists breaking things and all that stuff you like to do, and that is not a practical way of gaining the support of everyday people towards your cause.

What I promote is the spreading of more and more information about the reality of the big picture of how things really operate, and helping people to understand that so they can take action to protect themselves and their loved ones from all this centralization and control that is coming down on them.

What I would like to see are more family gardens, more energy independence, local currencies, and a shift in where people get their daily information from, away from the television to people like Alex Jones who actually give a damn about the well-being of people and want to help them understand what is happening and how they can take steps to not allow themselves to be controlled and manipulated.

Oh really. Have you noticed my video work Shifty? Have you noticed the lectures and protests I’ve filmed and uploaded to the internet? You think that’s a bunch of nonsense? I video tape things I think are important or interesting and spread that information, and I talk to people about these big issues.

And why do you keep saying youtube videos from aliens? When did I say that I think aliens post youtube videos?

what sort of action?

I think the first step is for people to get away from the corrupt whore mainstream media for their daily information.

Hack: In relation to the comments about anarchism and your perception of it. Actions (protests, vandalism etc) are important for any social movement. First of all they are fun, they make you feel alive, and they show strength just as when the Ajones crew hits up Bilderbergers. The difference is that these are not the areas that are most important. I understand the difference between actions and actual organizing because protests have shown to be rather impotent of late. Myself and some of the local radical community (anarchists, communists etc) are up to right now is starting what can easily be described as a democratic company to compete against capitalism. to start, each member would contribute a due (say $20 a month) so we have purchasing power and man power. to start we could purchase something like high quality printing equipment which would allow us to spread propaganda as well as generate income by selling pringting services to whoever might want them, if we move forward enough with enough members then we could purchase one of the churches in our town that are up for sale and use it as a community center (income generating and for democratic use). in the long term we plan to purchase land so we can cooperatively make food, ultimately replacing the essential services that capitalism making us truly free from oppression. the plan is that all decision making is made bottom up from groups of 8-13 people (the amount of people you can reasonably communicate with in a room), then a revocable delegate can represent that group on a higher level, and then so on.

Tucker Confirms Geithner Presence at Bilderberg Meeting

Infowars
May 14, 2009

Intrepid Bilderberg investigator and reporter Jim Tucker of the American Free Press confirms that U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will attend this year’s Bilderberg meeting in Athens, Greece.

Geithner’s presence will be in violation of the Logan Act, intended to prohibit American citizens without authority from interfering in relations between the United States and foreign governments. Congress established the Logan Act in 1799. The only Logan Act indictment occurred in 1803. It involved a Kentucky newspaper article that argued for the formation in the western United States of a separate nation allied to France. No prosecution followed.

Tucker told Alex Jones today that Geithner will attend the secretive meeting to talk about global government. Geithner recently announced while addressing the Council on Foreign Relations that he supported a proposal to replace the dollar as the world’s reserve currency with a composite of currencies that would be managed by the International Monetary Fund.

“Geithner, who has overseen Obama’s bailout agenda since taking over from Hank Paulson, is the perfect stooge to implement the global financial regulatory systems that elitists have called for in the aftermath of the financial downturn,” writes Paul Joseph Watson today. “Geithner’s presence at Bilderberg is noteworthy, not only because Bernanke attended immediately before the economic crisis last year, but also because Bilderberg’s agenda for 2009 is heavily weighted towards the financial crisis.”

Other U.S. officials will attend the meeting. “US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg will be the first member of President Barack Obama’s administration to have a meeting with Greek officials in Greece, sources said yesterday,” reports Kathimerini, Greece’s international English language newspaper. “Steinberg will be in Athens for a meeting of the international invitation-only club, the Bilderberg Group, which begins today and runs until Saturday. Sources said that Steinberg is due to meet with Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis and Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis.”

“Whether Lucifer will be down there on the sun-loungers remains to be seen,” Roger Boyes and John Carr write sarcastically for the Times Online. “But what we have been able to establish from a World Bank spokesman, Alexis O’Brien, is that the organization’s president, Robert Zoellick, will be in Athens on unspecified business on May 14. And that US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner’s public schedule is mysteriously empty for the next two days.”

Robert Zoellick was previously a managing director of Goldman Sachs, United States Deputy Secretary of State, and U.S. Trade Representative. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission and attended Bilderberg meetings in 1991, 2003, 2006 and 2007.

Dutch Prime Minister Grilled Over Bilderberg Following Prison Planet Article

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
May 15, 2009

A Dutch Member of Parliament has formally petitioned Prime Minister Jan-Peter Balkenende and his European Affairs Minister Frans Timmermans concerning their involvement with the Bilderberg Group, citing an article released by Prison Planet last week.

“In his web log on May 13, Member of Parliament of the Socialist Party, Harry van Bommel, refers to, and footnotes, (Paul Joseph) Watson’s article on information confided to Bilderberg researcher Daniel Estulin concerning the agenda of the secretive meeting,” writes Jurriaan Maessen.

Prime Minister Balkenende attended the Bilderberg Group conference in Washington DC last year, before meeting with President Bush, along with Queen Beatrix and her son William-Alexander. Queen Beatrix is a regular attendee of the elitist confab and was photographed by our reporters arriving at Bilderberg last year.

In our original May 6 article, we reported on Bilderberg’s leaked agenda for 2009, which according to investigative journalist Estulin was weighted heavily around the economy and whether Bilderberg would pursue, “Either a prolonged, agonizing depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline and poverty … or an intense-but-shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency.”

The agenda also spoke of efforts to be made to discredit anti-EU activists in anticipation of another Irish referendum on the Lisbon Treaty later this year.

According to Estulin, “One of their concerns is addressing and neutralizing the anti-Lisbon treaty movement called “Libertas” led by Declan Ganley. One of the Bilderberger planned moves is to use a whispering campaign in the US media suggesting that Ganley is being funded by arms dealers in the US linked to the US military.”

Dutch Member of Parliament Henry van Bommel.

In his written request, van Bommel demands answers on the Dutch cabinet’s position regarding Bilderberg as well as a clarification of their stance on the purported plans to discredit Ganley.

According to Maessen’s translation, van Bommel writes, “From the leaked agenda we learn that there will be discussed how to deal with the anti-Lisbon movement ‘Libertas’ through a slander campaign against its leader Declan Ganley. It remains a serious setback for the elite, not just the European elite, that the treaty has still not been ratified’, Van Bommel explains. ‘They wish for a more powerful European Union, even it is realised through undemocratic games. Considering the regularly attendance of our royal house and ministers, I have asked Prime Minister Balkenende and Minister for European Affairs Timmermans to have the political participants withstand such a slander campaign.”

Van Bommel follows this with a full list of questions for Balkenende and Timmermans.

1- Are you aware that from May 14 to 17 2009 in Vouliagmeni, Greece, the Bilderberg conference is gathering?

2- Is it correct that Queen Beatrix will attend?

3- Are there members of the cabinet who will participate in the conference? If so, which members?

4- Is there a consensus in the cabinet on the participation of this conference or is this left to individual members? Is there deliberation between the Prime Minister and the queen in regards to participation?

5- Will you make public the items that will be discussed as well as a list of the participants? If not, why not?

6- Is it correct that the Lisbon-treaty will be prominent on the agenda of this Bilderberg-conference?

7- Are you familiar with the report that speaks of the planned discrediting of anti-Lisbon movement ‘Libertas’ with the help of a slander campaign against its leader Declan Ganley? Are you willing to request of Queen Beatrix or political participants from the Netherlands to withstand any such slander campaign?

This is another example of how the Internet can pierce through the international media blackout on Bilderberg and lead to hard questions being asked of world leaders in major European parliaments like the Netherlands.

We wait with anticipation as to whether or not the Dutch Prime Minister will be forced to answer van Bommel’s questions regarding his involvement with Bilderberg. Previous questions in the British House of Commons directed towards MP’s as well as former Prime Minister Tony Blair have led to little more than half-truths and lies.

In 1999, responding to a question about if he planned to attend the Bilderberg meeting in Portugal that year, Tony Blair claimed that, “There is no formal representation by the UK Government,” at Bilderberg Group meetings despite the fact that MP’s for both major political parties in Britain routinely attend Bilderberg.

Blair brazenly lied in front of Parliament again in October 2006 when, in response to a question regarding Bilderberg by MP Norman Baker, he stated, “I have not attended any such meetings,” despite the fact that he attended the 1993 Bilderberg meeting in Greece.

A full list of question regarding Bilderberg asked in the House of Commons can be found via this link.

“If the Member of Parliament will receive any answers from the Prime Minister remains to be seen. But it is an encouraging sign that some in the political playing field will take their jobs seriously and do what every public servant should do when confronted with a plethora of the most powerful people in the world meeting in secret with no questions asked,” writes Maessen.

Greek Commies Protest Bilderberg

Freitag, 15. Mai 2009
Bericht über Bilderberg
Update 15.05.2009 – 20:00h GROSSE PROTESTAKTION VOR BILDERBERG-HOTEL

300 members of the greek Communist Party KKE came with 7 buses dodging the police barricades and staged a loud protest in front of the Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni Greece where Bilderberg is meeting. Shouting slogans, holding up posters and transperancies they showed their discontent against globalisation, the EU and the NWO. About 50 police stood against them, although further troops are waiting in the background. Some pushing and shoving took place. The leaders of the demonstration said they don’t intend to enter the grounds. The police seemed quite angry because the buses came thru. The KKE organizers hat everything well planned and took the authorities by suprise. You can listen to the audio of the live broadcast here.

The protestors shouted slogans like:

- IMPERIALIST GET OUT OF GREECE
- THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD IS SOCIALISM
- CAPITALISM IS ROTTEN AND WILL DIE
- STRONG KKE, THE PEOPLE COUNTER ATTACK

Tucker from Greece: Bilderbergers Own President Obama

James P. Tucker
The American Free Press
May 15, 2009

Bilderberg luminaries all appeared grim-faced as they stepped from their limos on to the grounds of the Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni, Greece. They arrived from the airport in nearby Athens, escorted by police with sirens blaring. The world economy is at the top of the Bilderberg agenda. Bilderberg will debate how to exploit the global recession and fabrications about “swine flu” to advance its world government goals. Bilderberg’s agenda has expanded, even as public awareness has grown.

Sources within Bilderberg said President Obama will be instructed to make another effort to get the United States to sign on to the International Criminal Court. The ICC treaty, if ratified by the Senate, would be superior to the Constitution, able to overrule Congress and the Supreme Court and impose “world law” on America.

Bilderberg leaders said they understood the effort would have to be handled with “subtle delicacy” because of the Senate’s traditional hostility to joining the ICC.

Former President Bill Clinton, who attended Bilderberg as the obscure governor of Arkansas in 1991 and was elected president in 1992, OK’d the ICC treaty, even though a test vote showed more than 90 senators objecting to the treaty, including world government advocates who were scared off by patriotic voters made aware of the perils by The Spotlight, the inspiration for AMERICAN FREE PRESS. So Clinton dared not submit the ICC treaty for ratification, and was forced to wait for a wind change in politics.

But Bilderberg owns President Obama, who sees himself as a “citizen of the world.” He will be sweet-talking Senate supporters who are afraid to back the treaty. He will be hoping for an even more left-wing Senate after the 2010 election, His goal, as dictated by Bilderberg, is to persuade the new Senate (to be seated in January 2010), to ratify the ICC treaty late on a Saturday night, too late for the Sunday papers or to make changes in the Sunday TV talkies.

You will not read of this in the Bilderberg-controlled Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times or hear about it on network news broadcasts.

Our Man at Bilderberg: I’m Ready to Lose Control, but They’re Not

Charlie Skelton feels a sudden need to apologise for the trouble he’s caused, swiftly followed by a rush of revolutionary rage against the powers that be being so, well, powerful

• Read all of Charlie Skelton’s Bilderberg files

Charlie Skelton
guardian.co.uk
May 15, 2009

I want to talk about Bilderberg 2009. But beyond a simple “yes, it’s happening, it’s real, the leaders of the world are hanging out here for the weekend”, what can I say? It’s a private meeting.

I don’t know if they’re discussing global financial unification or the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy over their prawn cocktails. I don’t even know what the vegetarian option is for starters. Butternut squash?

You’re going to have to forgive me for speculating, but that’s all I can do. I’m not a proper reporter. I don’t have the foggiest of my rights (if any) to stand on public footpaths and point cameras. I don’t even have a proper camera. But what I do have is this: a sense of something rotten in the state of Greece. To my nose, there’s not a healthy smell wafting down from the Astir Palace. Or maybe that was the egg and pepper roll I had for breakfast.

Sorry if some of these speculations are wrongheaded, but I’m doing a lot of this thinking for the first time and I’ve only just shaken off my police escort. Sorry if I sound shrill or petulant, self-righteous or precious, sorry if my perceptions have been tilted by anger … sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Sorry for bothering you Mr Bilderberg. I’ve spent the last three days apologising to everyone. Sorry to the staff at my hotel for having plainclothes officers loafing around in their lobby. Sorry to the plainclothes officers themselves for having to drag them around Vougliameni on a wild goose chase (I bought them some chilled water, and took it to them while they shuffled awkwardly behind a tree). Sorry then to the desk sergeant for bothering her with my predicament: “I’m being followed around like a criminal, I wonder if you wouldn’t mind asking them to stop? I’m not doing anything wrong, and it’s getting … well … a bit annoying.”

I’m going to stop apologising now. I’m going to try and make sense of my experiences. It’s not easy; I don’t want to sound feeble-minded, but this has been a lot to take in. I feel a bit like I’ve driven down the wrong alley and suddenly don’t recognise anything, and people are staring at me and not simply to admire my hair. I’m jumpy. I think someone has been in my room and moved my laptop. I know this sounds bonkers, I know it does, but I took a photo of it before I left the room and it wasn’t where I left it.

Listen to me. I sound like a fruitcake. Three days and I’ve been turned into a suspect, a troublemaker, unwanted, ill at ease, tired and a bit afraid. And I haven’t even walked up the road to the Bilderberg hotel since the whole ‘get in the car!’ incident. I’ve been trying to stay out of trouble, but trouble has followed me down the hill.

So – to make sense of it. I’m going to begin here: with the face of the first Bilderberg delgate I saw in the flesh. I was trying, lamely, to get a snap of some delegates as they swooshed through Vougliameni in their mirrored limos with their plainclothes motorcycle outriders and police escorts. And one of them had their window open. I was so excited I forgot to bring the camera to my face and took a photo of the hubcap. What I saw I won’t forget. It was a 40-something man with his head thrown back, laughing and laughing, the perfect photograph that only my retina will ever see.

And you know what: no wonder he was happy. It must be WAY COOL to be sirened through Greek streets in the back of bulletproof limo on your way to the COOLEST party in the world. You’ve been invited by the coolest of the cool kids to hang out for the weekend. Your cool cousin’s über-cool older brother and his way cool friends have got a keg of beer and a pool in the yard, and their parents are away and you think Jessica might be going. THIS IS THE BEST PARTY EVER! Turn on the sirens! We’re coming through! Woohoo!

And your life is already pretty cool. You already own a newspaper or head a thinktank, or you’re the UK secretary of state for business, enterprise and regulatory reform, or you run Fiat, or you’re chairman of the Federal Reserve or Queen of the Netherlands, or president of Shell Oil. You run stuff. You have big ideas. You’re in control, and control is fun.

Bilderberg is all about control. It’s about “what shall we do next?” We run lots of stuff already, how about we run some more? How about we make it easier to run stuff? More efficient. Efficiency is good. It would be so much easier with a single bank, a single currency, a single market, a single government. How about a single army? That would be pretty cool. We wouldn’t have any wars then. This prawn cocktail is GOOD. How about a single way of thinking? How about a controlled internet?

How about not.

I am so unbelievably backteeth sick of power being flexed by the few. I’ve had it flexed in my face for three days, and it’s up my nose like a wasp. I don’t care whether the Bilderberg Group is planning to save the world or shove it in a blender and drink the juice, I don’t think politics should be done like this. This might be a facile point, but if they were organising a charity snooker league, they could do it upstairs at Starbucks. If they were trying to cure cancer they could do it with the lights on. Innocent thoughts can be minuted.

Or maybe they’re simply swingers. Maybe that’s why the curtains are drawn. Imagine chucking your key in the tub and pulling out Ken Clarke. Sorry Timothy Geithner, that’s the cost of doing business.

I have a confession. (I’m not a swinger, that’s not it.) My confession is that being tailed today by Greek special branch, and doubling back through a cafe and catching them out, and buying them chilled water on a hot day like in Beverley Hills Cop, when Eddie Murphy has room service sent to their car – all this was pretty exciting. It’s was my own little episode of the Equaliser. (The Greequaliser? No, really no, I’m tired). Being tailed was exciting and funny and absurd and confusing and terrifying and utterly, utterly wrong. And I know this sounds pathetic but I got a bit teary in the police station when I was telling the nice desk sergeant lady that I’m not a bad person and not a threat to anyone, and it would be nice if someone could call off the goons. I don’t like to be made to feel like this. I’ve been “put” in this position, and I haven’t deserved it.

Bilderberg is about positions of control. I get within half a mile of it, and suddenly I’m one of the controlled. I’m followed, watched, logged, detained, detained again. I’d been put in that position by the “power” that was up the road.

Likewise, the Bilderberg delegates occupy a position of power over the bobbing ignorance of the people patting beach balls in the sea, and me with my crappy little camera and my curiosity and my ill-formed sense of citizenship. I may not be very good at bearing witness here, but I’m doing my best. I haven’t shinned over the fence and shoved a camera in David Rockefeller’s face but I don’t want to be shot in the forehead.

A final thought for the day. In the fable, the men may have been blind but they did at least get to grope the elephant before trying to describe it. Now shove that elephant in the back of a blacked-out Mercedes S600, whisk it off into a luxury Greek resort, circle it with heavily armed guards and helicopters, hand it a Martini, and pay the local police to harass, detain and follow anyone showing even the slightest interest of grabbing a flank. That, my friend, is the beast that is Bilderberg 2009.

Of course the U.S. should join the ICC but “instructing Obama” is bullshit sabotoge

To the self-appointed world rulers at the Bilderberg meeting: you must by now realize it is over. Your final attempt to betray the world to a nasty Chinese faction has been rejected both by the Chinese and the rest of the world. You will soon lose the remnants of your US power base. As you know, there is a group with a legal license to kill that has been getting busy working on your underlings as they approach the center of your power base. The yakuza are also gearing up for something big, according to my own high level sources. So are the US special forces. You have been made an offer that it would be very wise to accept.
